I’m off to Las Vegas and FreedomFest, where I’ll be speaking (probably) on why More Sex is Safer Sex, and debating Dinesh D’Souza in a specatacle billed as Religion on Trial. The religion debate will take place Friday July 9 at 5PM at Bally’s Casino and we expect it to be carried on both C-Span and C-Span 2, though I’m unclear on whether the coverage will be live. (Quite possibly it depends on what else that’s newsworthy is going on.)
All of which is my excuse for taking the rest of the week off from blogging. I’ll see you next week, and I’ll let you know how things went.

Dinesh is a petty liar. I’ve seen his debates on the existence of god and his arguments, philosophically, are extremely sophmoric. What he excels at is straw mans and red herrings, and has swayed audiences using these tactics very adroitley. I would have just avoided this guy in general, you won’t gain anything from the debate but will most likely end up feeling frusterated due to wasted time that you could have spent debating another more authoritative representative.
Aretae suggests that Bayesianism conflicts with your approach. I haven’t actually read any of your books, but I’d like to hear your response.
Saw you at Freedom Fest and saw the “debate”. Of course, you won on facts – having truth on your side helps – but your side also won on humor and humanity. Nicely done.
